What Are Our Qualifications And Experience?

Mitch Galloway is founder and president of MG&A. Mr. Galloway was a pioneer in patient focused care and spent several years turning that broad vision into tangible results. Recognized as a leading expert in healthcare operations strategy, he has assisted dozens of hospitals in various stages of planning, design and implementation of innovative solutions to difficult problems. He has published articles and spoken extensively on the topic throughout the United States. His experience ranges from large, urban, unionized, multi-hospital integrated delivery systems to small, rural community hospitals. Many of his customers have achieved tens of millions of dollars in savings and significantly improved service at the same time. His newest work involves linking strategic objectives to operational results through performance measurement systems.

Judy Miller is a principal with MG&A. Ms. Miller brings extensive nursing leadership and performance measurement experience, working with MG&A clients to focus on innovation and improvement in cost-effective clinical practice and quality care. Most recently, she has developed an innovative model for clinical governance across the service lines of an integrated delivery system. Prior to joining MG&A, she was Senior Vice President for Patient Care Services at the New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Her focus at the Deaconess was to "break down the departmental silos" and develop a learning environment where all departments and staff worked in interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and create a healthy work environment. Ms. Miller is Past President of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, a Board member of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, as well as Vice Chairman of the Sherrill House Board, a nonprofit nursing home. She is active in many other professional organizations and has been frequently recognized for her leadership in healthcare systems. She has published articles on work redesign and improvement and is frequently asked to speak on these topics as well as leadership competencies necessary for the future.

In addition, we often use practitioners from various disciplines with current relevant experience as "area experts" to augment our team. These experts can be keep you from "re-inventing the wheel" by helping to educate your staff or physicians using detailed case histories, reviewing designs for erroneous assumptions, and checking implementation plans for hidden stumbling blocks.
